Baseball Caps

We can use baseball caps or hats in your quilt. Deconstructing and reconstructing a baseball cap into a block we can use in a quilt takes time and adds a level of complexity.

Cost: $5.00 per cap

Block Repairs

A block repair is when we have to make a block larger to fit into one of our block sizes without cutting off part of a graphic. This might happen when your T-shirts have already been cut. Or it might be a result of a small T-shirt with a large graphic. The first 5 repairs are included in the cost of your quilt. 

Cost: $3.00

Block Editing

Block editing is similar to block repair - except it's more for aesthetics. For example, the T-shirt block here had something removed from the middle of the image. Block editing takes more work than a block repair.

Cost: $4.00 per block

Hanging Sleeve

We can sew a hanging sleeve on the back of your quilt to accommodate a hanging rod. 

Cost: $.70 per linear inch

For example, a quilt that is 60" wide. 60 x .70 = $42. 

Piping

Piping is an embellishment sewn into a seam to emphasis or separate two elements of a quilt.

Cost: $.40 per linar inch.

Patches

There are many different types of patches and you can use all of them in your quilt. 

Cost: $3 per patch

Flag on the Back of your Quilt

You can put your flag or banner on the back of  your T-shirt quilt.

Cost: $45 

Paper Stencil Tracings

We can use paper stencils to quilt specific designs on your quilt. Picking the paper out of the stitching is the time consuming part!

Cost: $25 each

Excessive Taping

We have very clear direction on marking your T-shirts for a quilt. We want you to X-out what you don't want used. DO NOT box in what you want used. If you box what you want used, you will be charged $1 for each graphic you box in. Removing all that tape is a pain!

Cost: $1 per unnecessary boxed-in graphic

Hourly Rate for Repairs

If something happens to your Too Cool T-shirt quilt, we can probably repair it. For example, we have seen damage to quilts from dogs and fire.

Cost: $40 per hour

What is a T-shirt Quilt Do-over and how can I get one?

Did someone make your T-shirts into a crappy T-shirt quilt? Do you look at it and just want to cry? Or worse, leave it folded up in the drawer?

What Can I Do With Too Many Baseball Caps?

You can use your baseball caps in a quilt.  You can intermix ball caps with T-shirts in a quilt. Or you can make a quilt from nothing but baseball caps.

Editing the Content of Your T-shirt for a Quilt

Editing the actual content of your T-shirts is something you can do when you have a T-shirt quilt made. Editing means that part of a graphic or words from a T-shirt design are removed
